Hicks Septic & Excavation

Septic pumping in Ithaca typically costs between $300 and $600, depending on tank size, accessibility, and how long since the last pump. Hicks Septic & Excavation can provide an exact quote for your specific situation.

For most homes in Ithaca, septic tanks should be pumped every 3–5 years. Factors like household size, tank capacity, and water usage can shorten or extend this interval. Hicks Septic & Excavation can recommend a schedule for your tank.

Common signs include slow drains throughout the house, gurgling sounds in pipes, sewage odors indoors or outdoors, wet or unusually green patches over the drain field, and sewage backup in toilets or drains. If you notice any of these, contact Hicks Septic & Excavation promptly.

Signs of drain field failure include soggy or spongy ground over the leach field, lush green grass directly above the field (especially after dry weather), sewage odors near the drain field, and slow drains or backups in the house. Early intervention can prevent costly full replacement.
