Public business names, addresses, phone numbers, hours, websites, and ratings from Google reviews.
Company Websites
Services offered, service area coverage and emergency availability, reviewed partly with automated tools.
State & County Regulations
Permit, inspection and setback rules from state and county agencies, used in our guides and research. We do not yet check individual company licenses.
Our 5-Step Process
Initial Data Collection
We source business listings from public Google Business Profiles, collecting companies categorized under septic-related services.
Cross-Reference Verification
Each listing is checked for consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) data. Companies with disconnected phone numbers, permanently closed flags, or duplicate listings are removed.
Website Enrichment
Company websites are reviewed — partly with automated tools — to identify services offered, service areas and emergency availability. Company descriptions are generated from this information, so mistakes are possible; please report them.
Ongoing Monitoring
Listings are periodically refreshed to catch closures, phone number changes, and updated service offerings. We do not currently verify state licenses, insurance or bonding — always ask a company for these before hiring.
Community Corrections
Anyone can report incorrect data through our contact form. We aim to investigate and correct verified errors within 5 business days.

How Listings and Money Work
Free Listings, No Paid Ranking
Every listing on SepticTankHub is free:
Free Listings are available to every septic service company that meets our data verification standards. Free listings include the company's name, address, phone number, hours, website link, Google rating, services offered, and service area. Free listings will always be free — we will never charge for basic inclusion or hide contact information behind a paywall.
No paid placement today. Companies cannot currently pay to rank higher in our city or county listings. If we introduce paid placement, those listings will be clearly labelled so you can tell them apart from standard listings. Important: Paying for a Featured listing does not affect a company's star rating, review count, or any other factual information on their profile. We never modify ratings or reviews. Featured placement affects position in results only — all data remains accurate and unbiased.
We do not accept payment for positive reviews, altered ratings, or removal of competitor listings. If a company has a low rating on Google, that rating appears on our site regardless of whether they're a Featured or free listing.
