Our 5-Step Process
Initial Data Collection
We source business listings from Google Business Profiles, collecting only companies categorized under septic-related services with active, claimed profiles.
Cross-Reference Verification
Each listing is checked for consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) data. Companies with disconnected phone numbers, permanently closed flags, or duplicate listings are removed.
Website Enrichment
Our team visits company websites to verify services offered, identify service areas, check for emergency availability, and gather additional details that help homeowners make informed decisions.
Ongoing Monitoring
Listings are periodically refreshed to catch closures, phone number changes, and updated service offerings. Companies that claim their listing can update information in real time.
Community Corrections
Every listing includes a "Report an Error" link. When users or business owners report incorrect data, we investigate and correct within 48 hours.

How Featured Listings Work
Free vs. Featured Listings
SepticTankHub offers two types of listings:
Free Listings are available to every septic service company that meets our data verification standards. Free listings include the company's name, address, phone number, hours, website link, Google rating, services offered, and service area. Free listings will always be free — we will never charge for basic inclusion or hide contact information behind a paywall.
Featured Listings are a paid upgrade that companies can purchase as a monthly subscription. Featured companies appear at the top of search results in their service area with an enhanced profile that includes additional photos, a company description, and a "Featured" badge. Featured listings are always clearly labeled so users can distinguish them from organically ranked free listings.
Important: Paying for a Featured listing does not affect a company's star rating, review count, or any other factual information on their profile. We never modify ratings or reviews. Featured placement affects position in results only — all data remains accurate and unbiased.
We do not accept payment for positive reviews, altered ratings, or removal of competitor listings. If a company has a low rating on Google, that rating appears on our site regardless of whether they're a Featured or free listing.
