What We Stand For
SepticTankHub is committed to providing accurate, helpful, and unbiased information about septic systems and services. Our content is designed to help homeowners make informed decisions — not to sell them something.
We follow principles of Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E-E-A-T) in everything we publish. Every article, cost guide, and directory listing is held to the same standard of accuracy and usefulness.
How We Create Content
Research & Outlining
Every article starts with keyword research, competitive analysis, and a structured outline. We identify the questions homeowners actually ask and the information gaps in existing content.
AI-Assisted Drafting
We use AI tools to generate initial drafts based on our research outlines. AI helps us produce comprehensive content efficiently, but every word is reviewed and edited by our human editorial team before publication.
Human Review & Fact-Checking
Our editor reviews every article for accuracy, clarity, and completeness. We verify cost data against industry sources, cross-reference regulations with state agencies, and ensure all claims are substantiated.
Quality Scoring
Each article is scored across 9 categories including keyword coverage, actionability, E-E-A-T signals, FAQ quality, and internal linking. Articles must score at least 80% (36/45) to be published.
Ongoing Updates
Content is reviewed quarterly and updated when costs change, regulations are revised, or new information becomes available. Every article displays its last-updated date so readers know how current the information is.
AI Disclosure
We use AI tools in our content creation process. Specifically, we use Claude (by Anthropic) to help generate initial article drafts, research outlines, and data analysis. We believe in full transparency about this.
However, AI-generated content is never published without human review. Our editor reviews every piece of content for factual accuracy, readability, and helpfulness before it goes live. We fact-check cost data, verify regulatory information, and ensure recommendations are practical and actionable.
AI helps us scale our content production — human editorial oversight ensures quality and accuracy. Every article on this site has been reviewed and approved by a real person.
